What a day! With our classroom swarming with TV cameras, journalists and photographers, it was certainly a moment in the spotlight for Boarding School 3. The theme of the day was ‘water is life’, an important topic, but it was certainly secondary to the media presence at the school. Honestly, I am glad we did not have to do this every day but, nevertheless, it was a success and the school is famous for all of the right reasons!
In my interview I had praised the children for being so friendly and hard-working, as well as the teachers for their kind welcome and continued support during my time in Dnipro. I also said that English is the most important skill a young Ukrainian could have, and it is vital for the future of the country to have an outward-looking, comprehensive education system.
