After a week in the capital and an 8 hour overnight train journey to Dnipro, I wasn't exactly full of energy to start my first day at school. However the energy and enthusiasm of the children was so incredibly uplifting and in that moment I knew my time here would be thoroughly enjoyable.
Following an amazing welcome, I introduced myself and my country to the kids. It was great for me to be able to share my passion for my country, city and university with the kids and I hope they would like to visit the United Kingdom someday.
